How to contribute to our vision

Intern responsible for supporting Service Engineering departments within Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE). Internships include mentorship, soft and technical skills training, and networking to learn more about the SGRE organization and wind industry.

  • Provide support to the SCADA systems team through remote computer access and phone support.
  • Assist in the operation and maintenance of SCADA systems through field investigations, inspections, and detailed technical analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operational staff and client managers.
  • Contribute to the setup and verification of SCADA systems.
  • Support as the point of contact for Site personnel and Service Engineering teams in resolving SCADA issues.
  • Collaborate with site operations during the implementation of SCADA solutions.
  • Contribute to the development of plans, specifications, and reports for projects.

What you need to make a difference

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical or Computer Science Engineering
  • Basic knowledge of networking concepts and protocols.
  • Troubleshooting and or programing knowledge of Cisco switches is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with fluent English communication to work with colleagues and Site personnel in the North America region.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team environment. Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn and contribute to the team. Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of SCADA systems and programming languages (C/C++/C#) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with power systems and renewable energy is advantageous.
  • Configuration and troubleshooting knowledge of VMware is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of Windows and Linux system setup and configuration is a plus.
